Contact improvisers use touch in performance extensively. It is a foundation of contact technique and becomes almost invisible as a part of human interaction pallet. Are we aware of the meaning that is innate to touch? Are we using the diversity of meaning that is available? Do we assign meaning automatically? Do we assume there is no meaning, because it is a technique? What does audience see? Sat 20 march 10-1pm $30 Andrew Ward & Sebastian Grubb. Fly Together. Intermediate and Advanced Focusing on acrobatic partnering as applied to contemporary dance and contact improv. Take advantage of more opportunities for sustained flight and softer falling, utilizing each other as springboards and safety nets.
